conjunctions

한국어로는 접속사이다. 이번글을 통해 접속사에 대해 알아보자 지금 다루는 접속사는 동등 접속사이다. 

 

접속사를 외울때 fanboys를 알면 쉽게 외울 수 있다.

한가지 한가지 무슨 뜻을 갖고 있는지 알아보자!

 

for - 때문에

I do not eat buttons for they are not food.

 

and - 그리고

The kangaroo robbed the bank and torched the saloon.

 

Nor - 사실이 아닌 것이 합쳐진다. 그냥 and not을 nor이라고 사용한다고 생각하면된다.

nor 뒤에는 동사 + 명사가 된다. 

She won't leave her tree nor will she speak with human.

 

but - 하지만 

뒷문장에서 예외가 발생할 때 사용한다. 

we used every building material but chewing gum

 

or - 둘중 하나

Whould you rather have a pet bear or a pet giraffe.

 

yet - 그럼에도 불구하고(반대의 의미)

I want to leave yet I cann't

 

so - 그래서(결말을 뒤에 얘기한다.)

Hoony was allergic to sheep, so he skipped the wool festival.
